Current Projects of Women of Victory

To date, Women of Victory (WOV) has initiated and supported several projects for women and children around the world.  Women of Victory currently supports two major projects in the countries of India, Pakistan, DR Congo and Jamaica.

India

In India, WOV financially supports sewing schools and beauty parlors.  The sewing schools were started in India as a tool to train the young women how to support themselves.  With their income, these women are able to pay dowry to their mother-in-laws, preventing them from being burned to death. Also, this helps women to become independent and to learn a trade in which they can become self-reliant. 

Jamaica

In Jamaica, WOV supports a Soup Kitchen and a Literacy program in the inner city of Kingston,Jamaica. The Soup Kitchen has proven to be a great success as many children receive receive a cup of hot soup after their Sunday School class.  Pastors Clinton and Janette Loney, VCI National Leaders of Jamaica, report that they now are serving soup to an average of 100 children each Sunday.  The Soup Kitchen now has a permanent structure.

The Adult Literacy Program was officially launched on April 28, 2003, with students ranging in ages from 6 to 59 years.  Pastor Janette Loney, is the program coordinator and one of the teachers in the school.

The literacy program is teaching adults how to read and write.  The students have enthusiastically registered for the literacy program seeing it as an excellent opportunity for personal growth and the tremendous potential for improvement in their financial status.  With the ability to complete job applications and resumes, 7 students have found employment since the start of the Adult Literacy Program.

Pakistan

WOV is also supporting the ministry in Pakistan by providing financial support for a school in Pakistan. Many children do not have the opportunity for education in the poor areas of this predominantly Muslim nation. The schools provide an opportunity for education and a means of teaching both the children and their parents about Jesus.

Democratic Republic of Congo

In the DR Congo, Women of Victory has contributed towards the building of an orphanage that will house many children, orphaned by AIDs and war.

Assisting Women in Ministry

Women of Victory has provided financial support to several women from around the world with the call of God on their lives. These women are involved in full-time ministry around the world.
