The churches of the Metro Edmonton Region and the Northern Region of Alberta had the honour of hosting the 2005 Western National Conference in Edmonton held June 1-3. 

The power packed Conference was very well attended with the senior pastors, leaders and congregation members from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia in attendance. Founders and President of Victory Churches International, Drs. George and Hazel Hill were the main speakers. Other speakers included Pastors Brad Dewar, Paul McCulloch and Dave Mathieu from Ontario and Tom Schumacher from California Victory Church. 

One of the highlights of the conference was the awarding of an honorary doctorate to Pastor Mervyn Mediwake for his for many years of dedicated service to Victory Churches International.

The pastors' meetings, workshops and general sessions showcased some of the best gospel communicators around today. The messages were incredible, challenging and inspiring. 

Most of the worship songs, led by a combined team of Victory musicians from the Edmonton area, were our own Victory originals.  It was great to see the quality of music that our own musicians are putting together and I'm excited to see what is going to be released in the near future.

Pastor Blaine Egger and the Time Travelers ministered to the children and Victory Bible College hosted a youth rally where Pastor Dan Friesen was the speaker.
