November 2021 - He Is Coming - Ready Or Not

desk november2021 B

“The disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? “And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places [environmental and pollution problems]. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” - (Matt 24:3-8)

Know this, we are living in the time of the Beginning of Sorrows!

We must live ready to meet Him at any moment! “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise [of His return], as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” - (2 Pet 3:9)

The rapture or catching away of the Church could happen at any time, no signs are needed!

Revelation 4:1 “After these things (the church age) I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

From this passage of scripture, we see the Church being taken from earth to heaven and it is not seen again on earth, until Christ returns with His church in Revelation 19.

Heb 11:5 “By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death and was not found because God had taken him, for before he was taken [raptured] he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Enoch was a foreshadow of the end-time rapture!
Enoch was raptured before God destroyed the earth the first time with a flood, because all flesh had corrupted their way. (Gen 5:24, 6:11-12.)

What does this mean to us? “We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” - (Titus 2:12-13)

1 Thes 4:16-17
“The dead in Christ will rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall always be with the Lord.”

Five things we can do to please God and be ready to meet Him in the air:
1. Recognize how fragile and temporal this life is. (James 4:13-14)
2. Receive Christ as Lord and Savior and live for Him now.
3. Stay connected to Christ, His Word, and His Church. This is your source of power.
4. If you fall into sin, be quick to repent, get back up and go on with God.
5. “Occupy [do business] till I come.” Win souls, cast out devils, heal the sick. (Luke 19:13).

Even so, Come, Lord Jesus!
